The Cultural Association of Avdou organizes the 1st Tichu Tournament in Avdou. Tichu is a fast and smart game with 56 cards which you have to get rid of and thus collect points. Dragon, Phoenix, Dog and Mahjong are waiting for you to release them and become the winner of the game.

On Wednesday 9^th of August at 18:00, the Cultural Association of Potamies organizes a cross-country race of various categories of participants from young children to old ones. The forms of participation will be accepted at the Former Primary School of Potamies on Wednesday 09/08 and during the hours 10:00 – 16:00 or by phone 6979675479.

At the end of the races, Capoeira demonstration from the Capoeira Cordão de Ouro Crete athletes and the awards of the winners will follow and then we will have fun at the wonderful Karaoke Night in the yard of the yard of the Former Primary School.

In the beautiful square of Mohos village, during the summer months and specifically every Wednesday at 20:00 pm, a Cretan night with live music and traditional dances is organized.

Numerous tourists and locals enjoy the music-dancing program presented and taste the famous Cretan dishes and drinks such as wine and “raki”. In addition, the dance group of Mohos Cultural Association “Proodos” and experienced musicians present a program with music and dances from Crete and folk music of our country.

Visitors learn to sing and dance with the help of the dances of the Association and thus they have the chance to experience a Cretan traditional feast which lasts until the morning.

The Merchant Club of Hersonissos organizes Cretan and Laiko (Greek music genre composed in Greek language in accordance with the tradition of Greeks) Nights, every Wednesday and Thursday from 20:00 to 22:00 in all the central locations of Hersonissos. At each event, the Merchant Club of Hersonissos offers free treats such as raki.

On Wednesday, 9th of August in 2017 at 9:00 pm a sacred vigil will be held at the Byzantine Temple of Pantanassa.
