The Cultural Association of Episkopi with the technical support of the Young Initiative of Mesa Mouliana “ARGILOS CHAMPIONSHIP” and the support of the Municipality of Hersonissos, organize the 2nd Backgammon tournament.

The tournament will be held at the Cultural Association of Episkopi, located near Episkopi square and more specifically in the neighborhood of Mazani, on Sunday 16th of July 2017 and the start time is at 10:00 am. The cost of participation is 5€.

The first round of the groups will be completed by noon and the second knockout round will be held in the same venue.

The winner will be announced at the same day, after the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals, and winners will get trophies and many gifts as sponsor’s offers.

In addition, during the tournament there will be a buffet and treat for players and their companions.

On Saturday 5^th of August at 9 pm, the Cultural Association of Potamies organizes a Traditional Serenade in the beautiful streets of Potamies along with Manolis Stamatakis and Manolis Farsaris.

The Cultural Association of Avdou organizes a Traditional Food Night. Flavored and well cooked food and delicious traditional sweets will be cooked by the women of Avdou and the cooks of the Cultural Association of Avdou while the band of Kostis Saridakis will be playing their traditional Cretan music.

The Theater of Crete presents the play “Ta Vedouzopotira” (cups used for therapeutic purposes in order to treat influenza and cold) by Roula Orphanoudaki.

The play is a hilarious Cretan ethography that presents the stories of pure, honest and traditional Cretans, in a village in Crete. Through their characters, they impart the folkway of this blessed place. Laughter and emotion are constantly alternated with each other, as it happens in our real and daily life. The play is embellished with traditional music that emphasizes even more the culture of our country.

On Saturday, 5th of August in 2017, the Cultural Association of Anopolis organizes a Disco Night under the name “Remembering the Golden Decade of 80s”.

Manolis Stefanakis is playing cretan traditional songs at Stamni, on August 5th, 2017. The event is organised by the Cultural Assotiation of Stamni and the Municipality of Hersonissos.
