As a part of the celebration of World Tourism Day 2017, Associations of Malia with the support of the Municipality of Hersonissos organizes an event on Thursday 28th of September, 2017, at 19:30, along Agios Dimitrios street.

Visitors will be informed about Cretan products and the ways of their production and processing, such as oil, cheese, honey, raki, local musical instruments, soaps, spoon sweets, recipes with dako etc. The local hotels will offer treats.

The musician Dimitris Maridakis will handle the music of the evening, while the dancers of the Association will dance traditional dances.

Lastly, a day trip will be drawn by a tourism office.

The Merchant Club of Hersonissos organizes Cretan and Laiko (Greek music genre composed in Greek language in accordance with the tradition of Greeks) Nights, every Wednesday and Thursday from 20:00 to 22:00 in all the central locations of Hersonissos. At each event, the Merchant Club of Hersonissos offers free treats such as raki.
