In the beautiful square of Mohos village, during the summer months and specifically every Wednesday at 20:00 pm, a Cretan night with live music and traditional dances is organized.

Numerous tourists and locals enjoy the music-dancing program presented and taste the famous Cretan dishes and drinks such as wine and “raki”. In addition, the dance group of Mohos Cultural Association “Proodos” and experienced musicians present a program with music and dances from Crete and folk music of our country.

Visitors learn to sing and dance with the help of the dances of the Association and thus they have the chance to experience a Cretan traditional feast which lasts until the morning.

The Cultural Association of Analipsi in cooperation with the Municipality of Hersonissos organizes the theatrical performance Karagiozis Captain that will be presented by Athanasiou Shadow Play on Wednesday 26th of July, 2017 at 9:00 pm in the village of Analipsi at the square of the Holy Temple of Analipsis with free admission to the public.

Concerning the story of the play:

The Athanasiou Theater Company presents the performance Karagiozis Captain. It is a performance adapted from the Greek folk tale with impressive alternations of scenes. Karagiozis dreams from a young age to travel and get to know the whole world. But because he does not have money, he does not hesitate to lie and declare himself to be a captain in order for his dream to come true.

Our folk hero is inviting young and old to come and be entertained with his jokes.
