    Avdou : "Xeri" tournament

    The Cultural Association of Avdou organizes a “xeri” (game with cards) tournament on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th of August at 18:00.

    The games will be held at the coffee shop “Café Platia” (at Thrasivoulos).

    On Wednesday, the qualifiers will be held, while on Thursday the semi-finals and finals will be taken place.

    Mochos : Cretan night on Wednesdays

    In the beautiful square of Mochos village, during the summer months and specifically every Wednesday at 20:00 pm, a Cretan night with live music and traditional dances is organized.

    Numerous tourists and locals enjoy the music-dancing program presented and taste the famous Cretan dishes and drinks such as wine and “raki”. In addition, the dance group of Mohos Cultural Association “Proodos” and experienced musicians present a program with music and dances from Crete and folk music of our country.

    Visitors learn to sing and dance with the help of the dances of the Association and thus they have the chance to experience a Cretan traditional feast which lasts until the morning.

    Kenourgio Chorio : "Thievery"

    The story of this theatrical performance, is happening in Crete. It is the comedy about a couple’s marriage that takes place, after the bride’s kidnapping by her future husband.

    Potamies : "The Exploration" – Gouverniotika 2019

    On Wednesday 7th of August  in Potamies village at 21:00, the Cultural Association of the village is hosting a  Theatrical performnce for children at the yard of the former Primary School.

    Four teenagers, open their grandmother’s abandoned house in the village. Why is it closed? What secrets hides? An old tape recorder, grandma’s fairy tales, lots of parasites, a breath and … the adventure begins!

    The entrance is free.

    The potter Kalikakis Zacharias presents the manufacture of small objects made of clay using a wheel. There will be an exhibition of clay objects.
