On Thursday, March 29, 2018, at 18:00, the University of Crete – Natural History Museum of Crete in collaboration with the Municipality of Chersonissos organizes a thematic workshop entitled “Areas of NATURA 2000: Opportunity or obstacle for development?”.

The event will take place at the Cultural Center Hall at Chersonissos Port, is being implemented under the framework of the Program LIFE + Information & Communication Program and is entitled “Ecological Services, Social Benefits and Economic Value of Ecosystem Services in NATURA 2000 Areas in Crete “(LIFE Natura2000Value Crete)”.

The event is open to all citizens and the entrance is free [in Greek without translation].

Members of the “Estia”, the Women of Malia Association, exhibit their paintings, from Friday, March 30th to Sunday, April 1, at the Female School in Malia.

The painting exhibition will be open from 10am to 2am and from 6pm to 10pm with free admission to the public.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Friday at 19:00.

The Choιr of Malia will sing the carols of Lazarus on Saturday 31 March 2018 at 11:00 starting from the former Town Hall of Malia. The children will collect eggs from citizens and will be painted red on Maundy Thursday by members of the Cultural Association of Malia.

The Cultural Association in Avdou village will sing the Lazarus’ carols in the village streets on Saturday 31 March 2018 at 15:00. The event will start from the square of the village.

The Cultural Association “Agia Triada” in Agriana village will sing the Lazarus’ carols in the village streets on Saturday 31 March 2018 at 16:00. The event will start from the Cultural Center in Agriana.

The Athletic Club of Crete will host in Crete the first match of the Panhellenic Rally Asphalt Championship of 2018, announced by the Federation of Motor Sport of Greece, OMAE. The race will be held on the weekend of March 31 and April 1, 2018 and is designed with the safety and pleasure of contestants and spectators.
