Episkopi : “Brain and Emotion in Music: a game of hide and seek” – 6th AEGEAN ARTS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

Have you ever thought that the sounds we listen to as cradles may affect the formation of our personality or the way we choose to communicate with the others? Merging music with neuroscience, Efthimios Papatzikis embarks on explaining that sound is our primary channel of communication with the world and that it is inextricably interwoven with our sensori-motor, linguistic and psychological apparatus. In light of this, a new developmental model is put forward to enhance the role of sound and music from the very first moments of birth and thus reach a better level of enriched communication at further stages.
