Episkopi : Chamber music – 6th AEGEAN ARTS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

Young Violin Channel artist Luke Hsu is a rising virtuoso with outstanding potential. One of the most exciting violinists of his generation, he has won first prize in the Paganini, Michael Hill, Carl Nielsen and the Wieniawski International Violin Competitions as well as third prize in the 10th Quadrennial International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. In his performance of Prokofiev and Brahms sonatas, he will be accompanied by Yehuda Inbar, an extraordinary pianist whose power, poetry and formidable technique have won him a stream of major awards and full scholarships to study with music masters, including Sir Andras Schiff. A song recital follows by the exceptionally gifted soprano, Oksana Sliubyk, Guildhall scholar and two-time winner of the International Opera Awards, who, with pianist Maya Soltan, will present a gorgeous collection of arias as well as some famous pieces from Bernstein’s West Side Story. This will be an evening that will have us glued to our seats!
